Savour the
golden season
Discover South Tyrol’s autumnal colours and flavours
The vineyards and woods are a triumph of yellows, oranges and reds. The harvesting season is in full swing, with succulent apples and grapes waiting to be picked. Temperatures are mild, inviting you to enjoy the landscape on long, fulfilling walks… with indulgent stopovers along the way!
Walking in the foliage
Take a walk along the Keschtnweg – the Chestnut Trail, named after the impressive, century-old chestnut trees that partially shade your way as you walk on a carpet of colourful leaves. The perfect way to immerse yourself in the natural spectacle of autumn.
Törggelen – a beloved farmers’ tradition
Törggelen is a cherished tradition that originated right here in the Eisacktal valley, and has grown to be popular throughout South Tyrol. After a nice walk out in nature, step into the cosy wood-panelled parlours of a farmer’s tavern and enjoy homemade seasonal specialities with new wine and freshly pressed apple juice.
Tasting local wines
The Eisacktal valley is renowned for its excellent white wines. We recommend a tour of the Neustift abbey’s winery, where wine tastings are offered as part of the experience – it’s worth it!
